Composite Bonding/ Veneers
Composite bonding and veneers are restorative cosmetic dental treatments that can give you a complete smile makeover.
The procedure involves taking a composite resin in a colour that matches your existing teeth and bonding it to the tooth via an ultraviolet curing light. The resin is sculpted onto the surface of the tooth either to cover small areas or to create an entire veneer.
Composite bonding can be used to repair chips, cracks or cavities in the tooth, or improve the appearance of stained or discoloured teeth. It can also be used to adjust the shape of the tooth, for example, to make teeth appear longer and better balanced with the gums, or to close gaps in between the teeth. It’s also often used to protect the root of the tooth which has become exposed due to receding gums.
Composite bonding and veneers are best suited for limited cosmetic corrections. The procedure can last for many years but you may require reparations in the future. If you’re interested in trying composite bonding for the first time, or you’ve had the procedure performed in the past and need reparation, be sure to contact us to book a consultation.
